Tuesday, April 29: Purity in Thought and Deed Reading
Day 2: Purity in Thought and Deed
Tuesday, April 29, 2025
Reading: Matthew 5:27-30
Jesus sets an incredibly high standard for purity, equating lustful thoughts with adultery. This teaching isn't meant to condemn us, but to show our desperate need for a Savior. We can't achieve this level of purity on our own. Today, consider areas in your life where you struggle with purity of thought or action. Instead of wallowing in guilt, turn to Christ. His sacrifice covers all our sins - past, present, and future. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your mind and help you see others as God sees them. Remember, we are called to "be killing sin, or sin will be killing you."
