Tuesday, May 13: Freedom from Hypocrisy
Day 2: Freedom from Hypocrisy
Tuesday, May 13, 2025
Reading: Luke 18:9-14
The parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector illustrates the danger of religious pride. Like the Pharisee, we can easily fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to others, thinking we're "holier" because of our religious observances. But God looks at the heart. The tax collector's humble plea for mercy is what God desires. Today, examine your heart for any traces of spiritual pride. Ask God to give you the tax collector's humility, recognizing your need for grace and mercy. Remember, it's not about being better than others, but about being honest before God.
