Reading: Matthew 6:22-23
Jesus uses the metaphor of the eye as the lamp of the body to illustrate the importance of spiritual focus. A "healthy" or "single" eye represents undivided loyalty to God. When our spiritual vision is clear, our whole being is filled with light. But if our focus is divided or clouded by worldly concerns, we risk spiritual darkness. Today, examine your heart. Are there areas where your devotion to God is compromised? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any distractions or competing loyalties. Commit to fixing your gaze more firmly on Christ, allowing His light to illuminate every aspect of your life.
