Monday, July 28: The Beauty of God's Church
Day 1: The Beauty of God's Church
Reading: Psalm 48:1-3, Ephesians 5:25-27
The Psalmist paints a beautiful picture of Zion, the city of God, as a place of beauty and joy. In the New Testament, we see this imagery applied to the Church - the bride of Christ. Today, reflect on the beauty of being part of God's Church. Despite its flaws and human weaknesses, the Church is being made beautiful by Christ's transforming love. How does this perspective change the way you view your local church community? Pray for eyes to see the beauty Christ is creating in His people, and consider how you can contribute to that beauty through acts of love and service.
