Day 3: The Call to Discipleship
Reading: Matthew 8:18-22
Jesus' call to discipleship is radical and all-encompassing. He challenges would-be followers to prioritize the Kingdom of God above all else, even family obligations and personal comfort. This passage reminds us that following Jesus requires wholehearted commitment.
Examine your own commitment to Christ. Are there areas of your life you're holding back from His lordship? What "comfortable excuses" might you be making to avoid full surrender? Consider what steps you can take today to more fully align your life with Jesus' call.
Prayer: Lord, give me the courage to follow You wholeheartedly. Help me to surrender every area of my life to Your lordship.
