Reading: Matthew 9:18-26
Jesus' authority over sickness and death demonstrates His divine power and mission as the Messiah. As we read about the woman with the issue of blood and Jairus' daughter, we see Jesus' compassion in action. He doesn't just heal from afar, but engages personally with those suffering.
Reflect on areas in your life where you need to submit to Jesus' authority. Are there situations you're trying to control that you need to surrender to Him? Remember, Jesus is not only powerful enough to handle your problems, but He cares deeply for you as an individual. Just as He stopped for the woman in the crowd, He sees you and knows your needs intimately.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I acknowledge Your authority over every aspect of my life. Help me to trust You fully, knowing that You have both the power and the love to work all things for my good.
