Day 5: Rewarded Faithfulness
Reading: Matthew 10:40-42; Matthew 25:31-40
After warnings of persecution, Jesus offers hope: rewards await those who embrace His messengers and message. Receiving gospel-bearers means welcoming their King. Supporting God's servants honors God himself. This promise transforms our perspective from fear to compassion, from guilt to glory. There are people waiting to hear that Jesus is better—that He offers forgiveness, purpose, and eternal life. When we fail to share this message, we've dropped our cross. But grace abounds even here. We repent, receive forgiveness, pick up our cross afresh, and follow again. Who has God placed in your path to receive the gospel? How can you support those proclaiming Christ? Remember: caring for His servants shows we care for Him.
