Monday, November 3 | The Divisive Gospel
Day 1: The Divisive Gospel
Reading: Matthew 10:34-36
Jesus doesn't promise comfortable Christianity. His gospel confronts our deepest allegiances and exposes our hidden idols. When light breaks into darkness, division naturally follows—not because Jesus delights in conflict, but because truth demands a response. The gospel reveals our rebellion and offers reconciliation, but it requires us to acknowledge our need. This message will disturb our peace and upset relationships because it challenges everything we've built apart from God. Today, ask yourself: Am I embracing the full gospel—both the conviction of sin and the beauty of grace? Or have I softened the message to make it more palatable? True peace with God sometimes means temporary disruption with the world.
