Day 2: Christ Above All

Reading: Matthew 10:37-39; Colossians 1:15-20

Family bonds are sacred, designed by God himself. Yet Jesus boldly claims supremacy even over these precious relationships. Why? Because only He can bear the weight of our worship. When we elevate even good things—family, career, dreams—to the place of ultimate importance, we crush them under expectations they cannot fulfill. Christ alone satisfies the deepest longings of our hearts. He created us for His glory and intimate fellowship. Today, examine your priorities: What competes with Jesus for first place in your heart? Remember, you honor your family best when you love Jesus most. He doesn't diminish other loves; He orders them rightly and fills them with greater meaning.
