Day 5: Rest for Your Soul
Reading: Matthew 11:28-30; Hebrews 4:1-11
Jesus offers what our souls desperately need: rest. Not just physical rest, but deep soul-rest from the weariness of life and the burden of sin. When we yoke ourselves to Christ through faith, He doesn't remove all difficulties, but He shares the load. His yoke is easy because He's already done the impossible work—living the perfect life we couldn't live and dying the death we deserved. Now our efforts become fruitful because they flow from rest, not toward it. The labor is finished. Our greatest day will be when the struggle with sin finally ends. Until then, we work from victory, not for it. Today, consciously give Jesus every burden you're carrying. Let Him pull the weight. Experience the peace of laboring alongside the One who has already won.
