Friday, December 5 | Abba, Father
Day 5: Abba, Father
Reading: Romans 8:12-17
The Spirit enables what was previously impossible- intimate relationship with God. "Abba" is the tender cry of a child who knows they're loved, safe, and cherished by their Father. This isn't the formal address of a slave to a master, but the trusting embrace of a child running to Daddy. Because of Christ's first advent, you're not an outsider hoping for acceptance; you're an heir inheriting everything the Father has. Let this truth sink deep today: God isn't distant, angry, or disappointed with you. Through Christ, He's your Abba. Bring Him your fears, your failures, your hopes. Cry out to Him with the confidence of a beloved child. And as you celebrate this Advent season, remember you're celebrating your adoption, your redemption, your inheritance as a co-heir with Christ.
