Monday, December 15 | The Ancient Wisdom of the Coming King
Day 1: The Ancient Wisdom of the Coming King
Reading: Micah 5:1-5; Psalm 18:30
Devotional: Bethlehem, an insignificant town, became the birthplace of the eternal King. God delights in taking what the world overlooks and accomplishing His greatest works. The Messiah's "coming forth is from ancient days"—His wisdom predates creation itself. When we struggle to submit areas of our lives to Christ, we reveal our deepest problem: we don't trust His wisdom. We think our plans are better, our way is clearer. But Christmas declares the opposite. God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom. Today, identify one area where you're relying on your own understanding. Confess your limited perspective and ask God to help you trust His perfect, ancient wisdom that always leads to your greatest good.
