Day 5: Grace for Transformation
Reading: Ezekiel 36:25-27; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Devotional: The good news is that God doesn't leave us as bad trees producing rotten fruit. He promises transformation from the inside out. Ezekiel prophesied that God would give His people new hearts and put His Spirit within them. This is the gospel: Christ takes our sin and gives us His righteousness. He changes our nature, making us new creations. But this requires surrender. We must stop pretending our fruit is good when it's not. We must acknowledge our evil hearts and cry out for mercy. Jesus invites even the Pharisees to change—to make the tree good. It's never too late while breath remains. Today, fall afresh upon God's mercy. Confess where your heart has been corrupt. Ask Him to complete the transformation He began in you, making you truly good from the inside out.
