Day 1: The Tree and Its Fruit

Reading: Matthew 12:33-37; Luke 6:43-45

Devotional: Jesus confronts us with a piercing truth: our actions reveal our hearts. We cannot produce good fruit from a corrupt tree. This isn't about occasional mistakes or momentary failures, but about the fundamental orientation of our hearts. Are we rooted in Christ, drawing life from His Spirit? Or are we rooted in self-righteousness, pride, and personal ambition? The Pharisees spoke religious words while harboring evil hearts. Today, examine your life honestly. What fruit are you producing? Don't focus on outward appearances or religious activities. Instead, ask God to search your heart and reveal what truly motivates you. Genuine transformation begins when we stop pretending and start surrendering to Christ's work within us.
