Tuesday, January 27 | Greater Than Jonah
Day 2: Greater Than Jonah
Reading: Jonah 1-2
Devotional: Jonah ran from God's call, sulked at mercy shown to enemies, and needed miraculous deliverance from his own rebellion. Yet the Ninevites repented at his preaching. Jesus is infinitely greater: He never ran from the Father's will, He loved His enemies unto death, and He didn't need deliverance—He became our deliverance. The same resurrection power that brought Jesus from the tomb is available to you today. Are you running from God's call on your life? Are you sulking because God's grace extends beyond your preferences? The question isn't whether God will show up; it's whether you'll respond like Nineveh—with immediate, wholehearted repentance—or like the Pharisees, demanding God perform on your terms.
