Thursday, February 5 | Doing the Father's Will
Day 4: Doing the Father's Will
Reading: Matthew 7:21-29; John 6:28-40
Devotional: When asked what work God requires, Jesus gave a stunning answer: believe in the one He sent. Doing the Father's will begins with looking to Jesus in repentance and faith. It's not about religious performance but heart transformation. The discipled heart doesn't merely know about Jesus—it knows Jesus. This knowing produces obedience, not as a burden but as delight. We follow Him not from duty but devotion. The religious leaders had impeccable external compliance but missed the heart of God's will: trusting His Son. True obedience flows from love, and love flows from understanding how deeply we've been loved. Is your spiritual life characterized by striving or surrender, obligation or adoration?
