Leadership & Accountability

As a new church plant, we are growing into the biblical model of leadership laid out in Scripture, with some roles already in place and others still to come as the Lord provides.

At King’s Cross Church, we believe Jesus Christ is the true head of the church, and our leadership exists to serve Him and His people.

Faithful Leadership in a Formative Season

Until elders are appointed, King’s Cross Church operates with a Planning Board consisting of five godly men who provide spiritual leadership, accountability, and wise counsel under the authority of Christ and the congregation.

The Planning Board exists to ensure our church remains faithful to Scripture, aligned with our mission, and led with integrity during this formative stage.

The Planning Board Responsibilities Include:

Model spiritual leadership to the congregation through prayer, humility, and godly example.

Provide encouragement to staff and volunteers, and accountability to the Lead Pastor.

Protect and promote the established mission and vision of King’s Cross Church.

Give input on significant financial decisions to ensure wise stewardship and transparency.

Advise the Lead Pastor as requested on major strategic decisions being processed by staff leadership.

End Goal: The Planning Board serves as a temporary structure until biblically qualified elders are appointed and affirmed by the congregation.

As God raises up qualified men who meet the biblical standards of 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9, King’s Cross Church will establish an Elder Board to shepherd the congregation through ongoing spiritual oversight, teaching, and care.

Meet the planning team:

This Planning Board reflects our conviction that leadership in Christ’s church should always be shared, accountable, and transparent — never isolated or self-directed.

Transparency and Accountability

At King’s Cross Church, we desire to be open and transparent about how we are structured and how we operate. We believe that clarity builds trust, and trust strengthens the body of Christ.
